Creating Up to 125 New Jobs

LANGHORNE, PA/TORONTO, ON -- July 21, 1999 -- AOL Canada, operated by America Online Inc. (NYSE: AOL), today announced that it has selected ICT Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: ICTG), a globally integrated telesolutions company, to provide customer support services for its members in Canada. Under terms of the agreement, ICT Group’s Call Centre in Riverview, New Brunswick will respond to members’ billing inquiries, provide technical support, and promote customer retention.

Approximately 120 staff, fluent in both English and French, will be dedicated to handling AOL Canada member calls. As a result of this AOL Canada contract, it is expected that between 75 and 125 new call centre positions will open up at the Riverview facility.

"We’re excited about this partnership with AOL Canada at a time when exponential growth of the Internet has fueled the need for support services that provide the human touch necessary to handle consumers’ Internet questions," said John J. Brennan, chairman and CEO of ICT Group. "This is a major driving force for the call centre industry, and ICT Group is definitely benefiting from the trend. We view our agreement with AOL as a significant endorsement of ICT Group’s capabilities by the leading international Internet Online Service. This is also an important step for us as we continue to build our international business in each of our locations around the world."

ICT Group has a strong Canadian presence with five call centres in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The Riverview facility is equipped with 400-plus, state-of-the-art workstations, specialized call centre management, human resource experience, teleservices expertise and bilingual customer service consultants.

"With our significant membership growth over the past year and continued momentum, we believe our AOL Canada members are best supported by a bilingual call centre," said Stephen Bartkiw, Managing Director, AOL Canada. "By partnering with the ICT Group, we’re combining their expertise in Canadian call centre management with AOL Canada’s ongoing commitment to ensure our members receive the best possible customer service experience."

AOL Canada Member Services is currently handled from the AOL Call Centre in Oklahoma City. AOL Canada has planned a staged transition to the Riverview Call Centre over a three-month period, starting in August. This change will be seamless to AOL Canada members since the member services toll-free telephone numbers and hours of operation remain the same.
