AOL has built upon Microsoft® Internet Explorer technology and raised it to the next level. AOL Explorer offers enhanced security and more time-saving features than any other browser. Built-in pop-up controls help protect you against annoying pop-ups and Spyware Quick Scan makes your surfing safer. A host of new tools, like Tabbed Browsing and Top Speed help make more efficient use of your time.

Themes: Use the Theme Chooser to select one of 5 original themes to customize the look of your AOL Explorer.
Desktop Widgets: Side panels can now be 'torn off' and viewed or used separately outside of the AOL Explorer experience.
RSS Screen Saver: When installed (optional install) will allow the user to use their subscribed RSS feeds as a screen saver. Headlines can be read from the screen saver in AOL Explorer by selecting the number of headlines of interest.
Thumbnails on Hyperlinks: You can now hover your mouse over a hyperlink and get a preview of the target page. This feature can be configured via Tools>Settings.
RSS Widgets: Receive live RSS feeds from your favourite sites & sample the latest news and information in the form of a news ticker. Best of all, you can drag and drop them anywhere on your desktop. You are never far from the latest breaking events, sports scores, and general information.
TopSpeed: Web acceleration technology designed to enhance your Web surfing experience - saving you time and helping you get the content and information you want faster.
Tabbed Browsing: AOL Explorer attaches easy-to-see tabs to browser windows so you can find -- and get-to -- the window you want in a snap. It lets you "keep tabs" on your Internet experience.
Portable Favourites: AOL Explorer transfers your favourite website links from IE, and lets you access them from a "Portable Favourites Folder." This way, you can tap into your favourite sites on any machine using your AOL or AIM Screen name by simply going to http://favourites.aol.ca.
