The Community Guidelines are rules we have to ensure that the whole community grows and develops in harmony. All pages listed in AOL Hometown must follow the Community Guidelines. Any pages that violate our guidelines may be removed from our communities.

Who the Guidelines Apply To

When you become a part of AOL Hometown, you agree to abide by the Community Guidelines. Any pages added to AOL Hometown must meet these basic standards. Pages that are linked off an AOL Hometown page, but that are not actually a part of AOL Hometown itself, are not required to follow the Community Guidelines.

Notifying AOL of Problems

In order to keep the subject matter on home pages appropriate for all audiences, AOL Hometown developed Community Guidelines. The Community Guidelines state what is and is not appropriate on home pages found in AOL Hometown. AOL members can quickly report pages that are inappropriate or violate the Community Guidelines by clicking the Notify AOL link that appears in the upper right corner of the browser window. If you're unsure as to what belongs in your community, refer to the Community Guidelines before deciding to Notify AOL.
