Getting Around AOL Hometown
|
AOL Hometown is simple to navigate. If you managed to
get to here, you can easily get around AOL Hometown. AOL Hometown pages are
always under a frame. We call it a frame because, like a picture
frame, the outside - in this case the top of the browser window - always stays
the same. On the top portion of the window you'll see four links: Main,
Create, Edit and Help. These links together are called the AOL
Hometown toolbar. No matter where you go in AOL Hometown, you can get to
any of these main areas with a single click of your mouse.
The Main link takes you to the main page of AOL
Hometown where you'll find a list of the categories and communities
containing home pages.
The Create link takes you to a page that lets
you Create, add home pages to AOL Hometown, and manage any pages you've
already added. You can use Create to add additional pages.
The Edit
link takes you to an area that lets you edit, view or delete your AOL
Hometown home pages created with 1-2-3 Publish.
The Help link takes you here, to AOL Hometown's Help
area.

AOL Hometown is organised by categories, and these are
made up of sub-categories. A site dedicated to Gilbert and Sullivan
musicals, for instance, would fall inside the Culture and Beliefs category.
When you add a page to AOL Hometown, your page automatically gets placed in
the right community.
