How can I disable the "Guest" Sign-On feature on AOL?
Adding a "Disable Guest Feature" to Parental Controls will not prevent cybersavvy children from using a friend's "Parental Controls-less" screen name because the Guest feature is actually part of the AOL software that is installed on your computer. This means that anytime you or your child installs a new version of AOL, the Guest feature will become re-enabled.
Therefore, even if one version of AOL had the Guest Feature disabled, a newly installed version would allow for a "Guest" to sign on. This would allow a child to sign on via the Guest feature with a "Parental Controls-less" screen name if he or she has the password for this screen name.
