AOL's
800 number when traveling (surcharges apply)
Accessing AOL while traveling has never been easier!
In Canada: If you are traveling for business or pleasure
and need access to AOL in a location where there are no local AOL access
numbers, you can access AOL anywhere in Canada at speeds up to
57.6 Kbps using AOLnet and the number 1-800-318-2265. Your
AOL account will be charged a surcharge of 10 cents (Canadian) per
minute, or CDN$6.00 per hour, for the entire time you are connected
using this number (even during your free trial period or time spent in
an unlimited usage area).
Please note that depending on your location, long distance telephone company
charges may be less expensive than the use of the 800 number. We
recommend that you check with your long distance provider to determine
applicable rates. If you have any problems connecting with this number,
go to Keyword: Access, and click "Report
a Problem" in the list box.
In the United States: In the U.S. you can access AOL locally
from many locations. See keyword: Access for roaming charges. If there
are no local AOL access phone numbers in the American location you've
travelled to, you can use the AOLnet number 1-800-716-0023, anywhere
in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands) at speeds
of up to 28.8 Kbps (up to 14.4 Kbps for VFC modems). The charge is 10
cents a minute (U.S.), or $6.00 per hour (U.S.), for the entire
time you are connected using this number (even during a free trial period
or for time spent in an unlimited usage area).

Additional Charges May Be Incurred
There are additional surcharges for using the 1-800 number if you have
chosen the Bring Your Own Access billing
plan. Please check the terms at Keyword: Billing
before you use either of these numbers to connect to AOL. For all
other AOL members, the charge is 10 cents a minute, or $6.00 per hour,
for the entire time you are connected using this number (even during your
