Requesting a return receipt

Requesting a return receipt for a message will notify you when your recipient has opened your mail.

To request a return receipt

1. Click the Write icon on the AOL toolbar.
2. Address your e-mail E-mail is typically a one-to-one communications system. With an AOL screen name, you can e-mail with other AOL and Internet users. as usual.
3. Select the Request "Return Receipt" check box.
4. Type your message and send your e-mail as usual.

Notes
- You will receive an e-mail notification when each AOL member to whom you sent your message opens it.
- You will not receive a return receipt for e-mail you send to non-AOL members.
