Signing On
To sign on to the AIM service, complete the following steps:
- Send a new message to the AIM-SignOn command [4646].
- In the message body, type your screen name and password using the format screenname (space) password. Don't include spaces in your screen name (if you have them), and make sure your password is case-sensitive. If your phone supports saving messages, you can save this message for the next time you sign on to the AIM service.
- Send the message. A message will be sent back to you listing your buddies who are online.
Signing Off
To sign off from the AIM service, complete the following steps:
- Send a new message to the AIM-SignOff command [4647].
- In the message body, type the word "off" and then send the message. A text message will return confirming that you have signed off from the AIM service.
