Finding the IM Numbers Assigned to buddies or to AIM Commands
To find the IM numbers for the AIM commands and the buddies in your Buddy List, complete the following steps:
- Address a new message to the AIM-Settings command [4653].
- In the message body, type the word "help" then send the message.
- Depending on how many buddies you have stored in your Buddy List, two or more messages will return containing the names and IM numbers for the AIM commands and your buddies.
- Record the IM number so you can add it to your phone book or use it to send a message.
Finding the IM numbers Assigned to an Unlisted Screen Name
To find the IM numbers assigned to unlisted screen names, complete the following steps:
- Address a new message to the AIM-SendTo command [4654].
- Leave the message body blank (or type a space if necessary) and send the message. You will receive a message containing the screen names and temporary IM numbers for any unlisted screen names that you are conversing with.
