AIM Service vs. Text Messaging
With the AIM service, a user can:

  • Send messages to any AIM user on any device. AIM allows you to receive messages from both phone and desktop AIM clients. You are not restricted to only messaging to other phones or to a specific carrier network.
  • Send Instant messages to buddies or non-buddies by just using your phone's Reply function - you don't need to remember a user's IM Number unless you want to start a conversation.
  • Sign on to the service and stay on all day to receive instant messages from your buddies
  • See which of your buddies are online wherever they are, either from their computer or on their phones or other mobile device.
