About AIM Service Using Text Messaging
2-way IM2SMS allows users with an AIM screen name to conduct text conversations with anyone who has a mobile phone with text messaging capabilities. If your phone and wireless carrier support the two-way IM service, you can reply to any IMs sent to your phone. Just use your phone's Reply function to respond to the IM. The AIM® service uses your phone's two-way messaging service capabilities for Instant messaging. Before you can use the AIM service, you must have the following:

  • An AIM screen name
If you have a screen name for the AOL®, AIM, Netscape®, or CompuServe 2000® services, you can use your existing screen name with AIM Wireless services. If you do not have a screen name, get one now for free at http://www.aol.ca/aim/register.adp
